Maggie de Vries is a writer for adults and children, an editor and a teacher. Her most recent picture book Tale of a Great White Fish: a Sturgeon Story tells the story of a remarkable fish whose life spans two centuries of change on (and in) the Fraser River. She has also been writing for some time about Vancouver’s Downtown East side. Her book, Missing Sarah: a Vancouver Woman Remembers Her Vanished Sister tells the story of her search for her sister, who was murdered in April 1998. A murder charge has been laid against Robert Pickton in Sarah’s case.
